Christina Taheri

Lecturer | Department of English, Program in Writing and Rhetoric

Penn State University

I have enjoyed the privilege of teaching young adults since 2005, when I began at the Salahaddin University Language Center and later at the University of Kurdistan-Hewler in northern Iraq.

After leaving the Middle East in 2014, I joined a wonderful team of colleagues at Penn State. I have taught courses in the IECP; the Department of Applied Linguistics; and the Department of English, Program in Writing and Rhetoric. I currently teach Business Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, and Rhetoric and Civic Life.

My research interests include peacebuilding, multilingual pedagogy, and teaching as hospitality. To find out more about me and my story, see the links below.
